I'm looking forward to seeing you!
If we did get it wrong, then is there time to get it right? How would that change what we are currently doing? Be prepared for a 'duh' moment and then a ray of hope!
Benefits
Gain a deeper understanding of climate change, beyond the horror stories.
Use the missing pieces to make changes in your own life.
Learn why hope is real.
Description
When we first noticed things were going wrong, we had two explanations about what was happening and what to do about it. The ‘easy’ understanding was chosen, one that is out of our hands, one that hasn’t changed and is getting worse, and on that has come to dominate the discussion while coloring our understanding in negative ways. Laying all the blame on ‘big oil’ gets the rest of us off the hook, creates feelings of ennui, anger and helplessness.
What if this is only a small part of the picture, and not the most important one, at that? What if there is another way of looking at what’s happening – through nature’s eyes, that opens up a whole new host of possibilities?
In the three-week course, we will explore:
In this experiential course participants will be expected to do some deep learning and a bit of self-discovery, so that the changes committed to, do, in fact, happen.
This course is for all levels of society as there are important actions that residents/homeowners, businesses, and city staff and officials can all do to make impactful and immediate shifts that bring resilience and health to your local environment.

What if this is only a small part of the picture, and not the most important one, at that? What if there is another way of looking at what’s happening – through nature’s eyes, that opens up a whole new host of possibilities?
In the three-week course, we will explore:
- Where we are. How does the Earth really work? This systems approach opens up new doors of possibilities, allowing participants to think anew about their own role in making real change.
- What is ‘Climate Change?’ What, actually is going on? We are experiencing floods, fires, and drought, so why are they happening and is there a role humans play in all of this? Participants will discover what they can do to make a shift.
- Using Nature to Heal Earth Far from being our enemy, nature wants to live, and she needs our help in doing so. Participants will explore a variety of strategies that work with nature. Working with her will increase our impact exponentially.
